This and That

So last week it snowed! I don't think we got at much actual snow as other places (like houston) but we got some mixed in with all of the ice!

Today we spent pretty much the entire day putting lights on the house. I was really excited to do this because it is our first house and all of that so here are pictures of the house and also pictures of the trees.

Its Been A While!

Well I know it has been a little while since I last posted but nothing has really been going on!

Halloween was fun, we sat outside and passed out candy to the 12 trick0or0treaters we had ha-ha, maybe next year we'll have more. After that we went to Delana's to spend the night because A.) Michael and Gary were going hunting on Saturday and B.) Me, Delana, Ashley and Neely were going to Canton.

Canton was very fun be VERY exhausting! We were out there all day long and everyone found some really great stuff! I got the knobs and pulls I wanted but in the poor lighting mistook them for black and they were a dark brown so I will be spray painting them soon and putting them on the drawers and cabinets.

Sunday was very productive for us, Michael and I slept in and set our clocks back. After some lazy time I got up and fixed breakfast (Waffles), Michael was very happy about this ha-ha. When we finished breakfast we got cleaned up and went to home depot and tractor supply to find gloves and a burn barrel, we found gloves. We then went home, loaded up my old dresser and took it over Belinda. While at her house we grabbed the push mower and a wheel barrow so we could cut the jungle in the back yard.

The Jungle...I would have taken before and after pictures so everyone could see he transformation but my camera is a Brooke and Stephens. Anyway after a few long hours of me picking up the big limbs and bricks and whatever else we may have found in all of that mess we called a yard and Michael following me with the lawn mower we decided we wanted it to look like we had grass so we didn't rake, it would have been nothing but dirt and we both would have passed out from exhaustion if we would have. On top of all of that when we were finished Michael told me to guess what time it was and I said 5:30 or 6 and it was only 4!

So that was our weekend! This coming weekend we are going to Rennisance Festival so I will take pictures some how and post again later!

Toe

So on top of my wonderfully boring day at work yesterday, right before I left I decided to go ahead and put on my comfy flip flops...well as I was closing the night drop (a safe with a VERY heavy door) my toe was just a little to close so as I went to close it, it scraped right over the top of my toe. I am pretty sure it lifted the nail and it took a big chunk of skin too so yeah I am injured. Gary said I should have been calling for workers comp ha-ha but my boss will just say I shouldn't have had my flip flops on.

I am going to apply for the new accounts position I think. I wasn't going to at first because I had told a girl at work a LONG time ago that if one came open I was going to apply...well as soon as she thought one was she ran to our boss and let her know she wanted it, and of course came right to me and said that our boss was considering her anyway...Yeah so now one really is opening up and she was going to apply but she may be getting fired so I am going to apply. I called my boss last night to see if it was to late and she said to go ahead and apply but since it was really only tellers applying and we are about to go to a new system she may just cross train whoever gets it so they can do both until she can hire another teller. We will see...I am not very hopeful as I am probably the one with the least experience applying (I have been there the shortest amount of time.) So just pray for me. I would feel bad if this other girl got fired but I have to say that when she told me yesterday, that wasn't really the emotion I was feeling.

I just want to cry....

This morning I just wanted to stay in bed and now that I am out of bed and I only ate like three bites of cereal and I don't want anymore and now I just want to cry! What a morning. I can't wait to see what the rest of the day holds.....

The weekend was great! I spent the weekend with my cousin Destiny we had big fun shopping and hanging out and I am really glad she came because I don't see her very often.

Update

Nothing new going on at the moment I just thought I would update!

We have electricity YAY! I lost 2 pounds due to my recent stomach issues so I guess there was an upside to it. Other than that there is really nothing else...here are a couple of pictures from hurricane Ike.

Here is a tree that fell in Gary and Delana's yard, Gary was not happy the tree fell over but Delana was doing her happy dance behind him when they were looking at it ha-ha.

The wind was blowing REALLY hard...if you can't tell ha-ha I was trying to wait for a big gust to take the picture but of course it doesn't look as bad as it was.

I did take video on my phone but I am not quite sure how to send it in a message or if I even can so if I can I will put it up sometime.

Well Maybe Today...

So we didn't close yesterday...Michael called David and asked when we would be going to sign the papers and he said that the title company needed a termite inspection (which we already had done) so he sent it to them and when he called Debbie she said that she needed our home owners insurance documents and the termite inspection (this is after she said the other day that she had everything she needed and all we needed to do was the survey and we were ready to sign...) So we had the company we thought needed the insurance documents fax them to her and we had the title company fax the termite inspection. She had better have everything she needs now because it is really going to put me over the edge if she waits for Michael to call today (she obviously doesn't know how to pick up a phone and call us when she needs something) and says oh I need one more thing...We are supposed to close today at one so we'll see.

Closing

OK, so I know I have said his before but as far as we know...we are closing on the house tomorrow! I am very ready for this and I can't wait. I asked Michael to tell David that we want to sign the papers at one because that is my lunch break and hopefully we can do that and this will all be over with. I can't wait to get everything in the house and get it painted and decorated the way I want it. So that it the latest and if all goes well, next time I write I will be telling everyone we have the house and are moved in!!

My Day

Today I took off work to finish packing and cleaning the apartment and I am almost finished!!! in the process of cleaning today I decided to take Cooter with me to the mail box (he loves to go to the mail box) and it started raining on us! So of course I had to take a picture or two!

Keys and Canton

I am very excited! we got a key to the house today and went to see the house again! I am really really ready to move. We have decided that even though we have the keys we aren't going to move our things until we close. For now are things are locked in a u-haul and we will be staying at Gary and Delana's Friday night after we have cleaned and said good bye to the apartment. Hopefully we will only need to stay with Gary and Delana until Tuesday when we will HOPEFULLY close on the house. I have used the word hopefully way to much this month. So anyway the survey is all we are waiting for and it should be done by Friday.

Mine and Delana's girls weekend to Canton is this weekend! We are leaving on Saturday morning and shopping all day then we'll go to dinner and lounge around and do it all over again Sunday until we are tired and missing our Hubbies and then we will come home and sleep in on Monday morning YAY!!!

Another Week Goes By...

So it is now the 25th...four days after the original closing date and I have to say I am nearing then end of my rope. We have to be moved out of the apartment by Thursday so the plan is to get a U-Haul truck tomorrow and get EVERYTHING packed in it between now and Thursday or if we're lucky between now and when we can move into the house. (We are waiting to find out if they need a survey on the house) If we still haven't closed by Wednesday we are taking everything we own and staying at Gary and Delana's until we can move. The owners of the house said they were going to release the house to us this week to get moved in but I don't know when that will be. I know I am probably freaking out over nothing...it is only Monday but the way things have been going I just don't know anymore. Anyway thats all of an update I have right now so I will write again when I know more.

Happy Anniversary!!

So Yesterday was mine and Michael's 3 year anniversary! We have been putting up with each other for only 3 years and it feels like 30 ha-ha! We celebrated with romantic dinner of Frito pies and after dinner I watched the movie The Hot Chick on TV and Michael played World of War craft. Maybe I'll get a special romantic night when it is our 1 year wedding anniversary...apparently the day we met is no longer important.

Annoyed

So today was the start of what I was hoping would be an exciting, wonderful and stressful week...well the stressful part has already happened. I had a plan and it was a great one I was under the impression we would be closing on our house on Thrusday, possibly Wednesday if I was lucky and so I had planned that we would take both cars full of boxes the day we closed and get everything not heavy moved to the house and that way this weekend all of the strong men could move the heavy stuff and we would be moved in by next week. This would give me a good amount of time to clean every inch of this apartment spotless... but after talking with David, our realtor, Michael called me and let me know that we were waiting for our loan officer again. Debbie sent our application (that we have filled out twice now for her) to her supervisor to approve and from there the application or something goes to the title company THEN after that I think we can close. David says probably Friday but that is impossible because Friday at the bank is very very busy. We are guessing that if we can't get Debbie to hurry things along and get this over with by Thursday then we are most likely going to have to wait until sometime next week.

So the stressful part has arrived as it does everytime we talk to someone about the house...Lets just hope that the exciting wonderful parts come soon. I knoew this was all happening to easily a few weeks ago...

House News

So it has been a stressful month trying to get this house. I really am so glad we are seeing the end of this soon...unless of course my retarded loan officer has her head up her rear end and something isn't done correctly. We are trying to get everything signed and filled out at the moment so that we can close sometime next week. The original closing date was for August 21st so we're not off my much, although if you would have asked me on Monday I would have told you we weren't going to close for another couple of weeks. So I guess that is really all, I will keep everyone posted and hopefully we can get in the house next week and I will have pictures posted!

Babies, Houses and Puppy Training

So don't get the wrong Idea here everyone I am not prego...but everyone else is! It must be baby season! I am about to be an aunt to Brooke and Stephen's baby AND a God Momma to my best friend Jennifer and her husband Rodney's baby and I am pretty sure ther are both due in March! I can't wait! Now I know what you are thinking and you are right...I totally have the baby fever right now and it sucks! I know Michael and I are not in the right place in our life together just yet to add a little one in the mix but I know we could do it, and we'd totally be ready but I want the time to be right so...not right now.

We're getting closer and closer everyday to moving into the house!! We haven't even signed papers yet but I am still so excited! I can say I am EXTRA mad at my loan officer right now because she said she was sending some contracts that we sugned before for a different house to us so we could sign them with the new house information and she told Michael yesterday that they were sent back to her because there weren't enough stamps....that is something you are supposed to check woman!!!!! Anyway so she said "They should be at your house tomorrow", this was yesterday mind you, well we get home and check the mail...no envelope! Michael says if it isn't here by Monday he is going to call and let her know how good of a job she is doing (we've had a few other problems with this woman). All of that aside I am still very excited about it. My Momma in-law and I are going to Canton the last weekend of the month to look for some cute stuff for the house, it will be a girls weekend so I am looking forward to that.

I tried to teach Cooter to speak today and he just looked at me like I was an idiot...I think I would have to, picture me sitting indian style on the floor looking him straight in the face and doing my version of him barking...it would have been great You Tube material I'm sure. Maybe he will catch on soon ha-ha At least he knows sit and stay really well.

Another Day

Well today was a normal day, go to work come home, fix supper and well other than this we would watch a little T.V. and then go to sleep only to start this cycle all over again tomorrow. We are such exciting people I know!

Something very exciting did happen today, well it was exciting to me anyway...I got online to look at the pictures of the house me and Michael are currently trying to buy and it said, in beautiful orange letters, SALE PENDING!!!! I think to me that makes it a little more real! I am very excited about this house and while it isn't the huge amazing house of our dreams it is awesome and we love it and best of all it will be OURS! I can't wait to have people over, I have been telling Michael how as soon as we're moved in I am going to invite everyone over to eat and see the house (I was told I am not supposed to throw my own housewarming but I read online that the owners throw the party to show off their house...must be an East Texas thing, either way there will be a "party" of some sort.) I will post pictures of the house when it is officially ours.

Cooter is learning things! We have finally invested in the little tiny training treats that Delana and Gary buy (my in-laws) and they work! We are working on sit and stay right now and he is doing very well! We are hoping that in the process of getting treats for going potty outside he will stop going potty inside...oh the joys of potty training, some days I feel like he is getting better and there are other days when I find a bunch of little wet spots.I guess it's a good thing it is only tee-tee and not the other.

I guess that will be enough for tonight, I made this thing a while back and I think I am finally going to keep it up. I think every woman in the family should have one so we can keep up wth whats going on since everyone is pretty spread out.
