Flowers

Posted on 5:21 PM by Unknown
This weekend I had one goal, to make my yard beautiful! I am very thankful to have parents (including in laws) that helped me with this goal. Belinda and I planted my front flower bed and she taught me a lot about gardening. My mom also came today and helped me finish along the sidewalk and we did a couple of flower pots in the front yard and she also planted some Cana lillies along my back fence. Here are some pictures of my flowers!

The pictures don't do them justice! Here are some pictures of Parker with MiMi and Papa Mark.

Thats all I have for today! Love y'all

Tubes

Posted on 8:27 AM by Unknown
This post won't be long, there isn't much to tell as it is only 10 in the morning!

After feeding Parker dinner, a bottle and then nursing him around 11:00 last night, we had hoped he would sleep through the night and up until time to go have his surgery... Of course that isn't what happened and Michael and I sat up with him from four until 5 this morning. Parker was not a happy camper, he was hungry and mad because he was not being nursed. When he finally went back to sleep I caught a little nap before Michael woke me up to get dressed. We loaded up into the car and headed to the surgery center at 6:30 and were done at about 9:45. Not the quick visit we were thinking but the actual surgery only took about 15 minutes. Parker was not happy when he woke up and when I got back there he was crying. We gave him some juice and he calmed down but even now he is still a little fussy. He fell asleep in the car and has been asleep for probably an hour, I am hoping he'll go down for another long nap soon and wake up feeling much better!

Here are the pictures we got of him in his little gown, and then on the way home.

Mother's Day Continued

Posted on 8:13 PM by Unknown
Alright, so these are the only two pictures I took today. I had a wonderful day and didn't think to take pictures!

Mother's Day Morning. My boys snuggling :)
Nothing like an afternoon nap!

My weekend started on Friday evening when Parker and I went to Houston. We got there around 5 and went to my mom's house (MiMi). After spending some time with PaPa Mark before he went to work we went to Babies R Us to try to find Parker a hat for our trip to the zoo. I think we got everything but a hat ha-ha. After our shopping trip we met Aunt Donna and Destiny to TGI Fridays to have dinner and visit Jennifer, she is a server there. On Saturday we got up and went to visit Honey and Pop for a little while before getting back to go to breakfast. After we left Honey and Pops we went back to MiMi's and loaded up to get the day going. (SIDE NOTE: Thank you to Aunt Donna's car wash guys, you cleaned her truck so well that I slipped off and now have a huge bruise on my leg.) We went to I-Hop for breakfast and then headed to the zoo. Aside from parking the day was great! Parker loved the aquarium and I am sure will love the other animals when he is older but the fish were constantly moving. After our trip to the zoo we were all pretty worn out so we went back to MiMi's house and rested for a while before Parker and I had to leave.
Parker and I got back home around 8 and when I walked in I saw my gift, Michael had cleaned the entire house and done all of the laundry!! I was so happy! This morning he let me and Parker sleep in, we didn't have a fancy breakfast but we did go out for lunch to Cotton Patch, it was delicious! After lunch we went home and took naps :) you can see in the second picture who really napped ha-ha. We went to visit GiGi and PawPaw this evening which is always fun, we talked and they got to spend time with Parker.
Now were home and trying to get ready for the week! Parker is having tubes put in his ears on Tuesday so I will be posting about that later. I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Love you all!

Ok well you had to be there but it was pretty funny lol
Happy boy :)

Worn out! Oh and yes this is still at the zoo, he had to mess up at least one outfit ha-ha or he wouldn't be nicknamed the do-do king :)
Well I am off to enjoy the rest of my Momma's Day, I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Love you all.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Softballs and Choices

Posted on 3:19 PM by Unknown
Parker watching Daddy play softball!

So I talked to my boss today and we both came to the conclusion that I am going to stay in the position I am in. I was worried about some of the people that I would be supervising and the fact that I might have done better supervising a different department. Anyway I am happy with this choice!

Stamp Out Hunger!

Posted on 5:19 AM by Unknown
Hey guys!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Saturday is The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. All you need to do is put a bag of canned goods next to your mail box or put a can of food in your mail box and your mail man will collect it! It is a very simple way to donate so I encourage everyone to participate!

OK!

Posted on 8:10 AM by Unknown
I have been meaning to blog for a few weeks but it has been CRAAdd ImageZY at work!

First things first, I haven' started walking yet...I know I'm slacking but I promise I will start when I am no longer infected with strep!

Alrighty! We recently had a visit from Granny Shayne, Honey and Pop, it was so good to see them but unfortunately our visit was cut short due to Parker being sick (more on that in a minute) Here are some pictures of the time we did get to spend with them.

Parker in his Pop's lap, sorry your face his covered Honey!

So Sleepy, poor guy did not feel good!

On Sunday evening, the 25th Michael and I were eating dinner and Parker was fussy, he'd had his dinner and he usually gets this way because he doesn't want to be on the floor, he wants to be held. Of course I told him "I know buddy, we're almost done eating" well when I finished eating and went over to get him he was burning up, I ran him into the bedroom, checked his temperature (104.7 in the bottom) and as calmly as I could, got him undressed and into the tub. We got his fever down a little but not much and it was like this all night, in and out of the tub and alternating Motrin and Tylenol. I wanted to take him to he hospital but Michael and I knew what was wrong, Parker was holding the back of his head and pulling at his ears so we got the fever down and let him sleep in his diaper. On Monday morning I took him to the doctor's office and sure enough he had a double ear infection, she gave me a prescription and got me an appointment with an ENT. This was the same day that we had our visit and so it was eventually cut short by our 1:00 appointment with the ENT. So the end result is that Parker is having tubes put in his ears on May 11th. I just got a call from the surgery center to answer some questions, the lady said we'll probably be going in around 6:30 that morning. The only good thing about that is the possibility that I won't have a hungry cranky baby to deal with because he'll hopefully go back to sleep in the car. I'll just have to make sue and have something for when he wakes up :)

In other Parker news!

He has two teeth!

Last Friday it was just a normal day at work and I was bringing my boss some mail when she asked me if I had looked at the job postings lately. I said no of course because I am content in my job but I went and looked anyway because I knew she was asking me to look without asking ha-ha. So
on the list were two jobs, the first was a teller position in Lufkin, obviously this is not what she meant because this would be a step down from my current job so I look at the second posting. This one is for the E-banking supervisor, I was not expecting this, I have never been in a position that required me to be in charge of anyone else! So I walked back into her office and immediately say "Do you think I should?" she just smiled and shrugged her shoulders. She asked if I was interested and I asked her what I would be doing. She said I would learn the positions in that department and supervise. I told her I would think about it. Well I called Michael and he reassured me that I was a smart girl and I could do this, GO APPLY he said...so I did! After a while I got an email from my supervisor (under the boss) she asked the same thing my boss did! When I told her I applied she gave me a high five ha-ha and I told her I was nervous about it because the only person I have ever been in charge of was Parker, and he doesn't talk back! Anyway I got a phone call from my supervisor letting me know that they were going to be doing interviews tomorrow and she was making sure I was applying because I wanted to and not because they asked me about it...I said no I am serious, just nervous. I believe I'll have an interview tomorrow!

I guess I have rambled enough! I will post more next week as it is my first Mother's Day this Sunday! I am going to Houston to spend Saturday with my mom, aunts and granny and we plan on eating lunch and going to the zoo.

Have a great rest of the week and Happy Momma's Day to all of you other hardworking and amazing moms!
