It would help if I would come home from work and type what I wrote on the day I wrote it huh! Here is a post I wrote at work yesterday :)

This is what I get for griping and complaining about not having any work to do...Four 6 1/2 inch stacks of papers, so I guess that makes it two feet and 2 inches, that have anywhere from 1 to 24 deposits on each page. I spent two weeks going through and highlighting each deposit and now I am entering each deposit into Excel to get a daily average deposit amount...I've only gotten through one stack so far on that. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have the work to do, but obviously I am so tired of looking at the excel screen and doing the same that I am writing this blog instead! I'll get it done...eventually ha-ha I think my supervisors got together and said "She won't stop emailing us asking us for something to do...find something to keep her busy. Oh I know! Get her to get the limits for these 162 accounts, that will take weeks!" Ha-ha. If you read my post from a coupe of weeks ago then you know that I love my bosses, and I am really grateful for the work.

Can I just say that although I know that I am not "Fat" by any means, I am overweight (I want to lose 30 pounds) and the outfit I chose today seemed like a good one this morning...boy was I WRONG! This week is rodeo week and today through Friday we are allowed to wear jeans as long as we are wearing western attire. Well I have western attire!! You should have seen me trying to find a way to look good in this adorable pre-pregnancy shirt...lets just say, it's on and the buttons are snapped! I feel like a sausage, at least around my middle. There was no way in hell I was going to try to squeeze my big old behind into some pre-pregnancy jeans...I did not want to deal with the inevitable depression that would have set in when I tried and failed to get the zipper up. SO! I did my best and will probably end up back in my normal work attire for the rest of the week, maybe then I won't stand in the mirror for five minutes trying to get the obviously too small shirt situated and tell myself it looks cute. I am going to start walking in the afternoons today, I am going to try to stick with it this time. I have tried dieting and exercising before but it is hard to do by myself. I told myself I was going to do it last spring/summer but I didn't want to walk...oh excuse me, I meant waddle to the mailbox in the 500 degree weather much less waddle around the neighborhood when I could be sitting in my 60 degree house with the fan blowing on me ha-ha. I will never be pregnant during the summer again! So this time I am going to really try to lose some weight and I am trying to get some friends to help keep me motivated.

My son is brainwashed...Doesn't he know he is supposed to say Mama? His dad has him thinking that he is the coolest and therefore all I hear is Dada, Dada, Dada (Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!) ha-ha I'm kidding! I love that Parker says Dada and he knows who Dada is. Last night Michael came out of the bathroom and said "Guess what Parker said in the tub?!" I asked what he said even though I knew and he said "He said Daddy!" I looked at Parker and said Mama and he just looked at me and smiled ha-ha He says Mama whenever he is crying.

Well I'd better get back to work! I'll write more later :)

Been Meaning to Post This 4-6-10 with new comments

Posted on 3:31 PM by Unknown
Last night was the forth night in a row that Parker slept all night long, he has been waking up around 5:30 but that is pretty much all night when you consider that he had been waking up at 12:30, 3:30 and then finally deciding everyone needed to wake up at 6:30. This morning after sleeping 10 hours (9-7) I had to wake him up to change him and get him ready for daycare. He looked at me like "why are you waking me up? It is so not time to get up yet" and he stretched so big and rubbed his eyes, when he finished his stretch and opened his eyes again he gave me a big smile and started talking in his baby mumbo jumbo. I love his baby talk because it is like he is telling me all about his dreams and how he wished he could have slept a little longer :).

Parker is still sleeping through the night, waking up around 5:30 every morning. He still talks his mumbo jumbo but he is now saying Da-Da, Ma-Ma and Ba-Ba and he can also shake his head No.

I was looking through all of the pictures of Parker on GiGi's computer and I put them all in date order. I was amazed at how much he has changed just in these last seven months. The pictures of him in the hospital show this tiny little boy in Michael's arms. Then there were the pictures of his first Halloween, he was only just about 2 months old, he was the cutest monkey ever! To think, I thought he was big then! When I compare those pictures to how he looks now I realize how much he is starting to look like a big boy...I can't even imagine the changes that will take place over the next 5 months.

In the time that I wrote this blog, Parker has started sitting up all by himself and is trying to pull himself up onto his feet. I can't sit in front of him without him taking my hands and pulling up so he can stand up. His face just lights up while he stands there all wobbly. He also scoots around, he can't crawl yet but he can scoot to where he wants to go. He likes to watch things and will try to find you, BeBe hid behind T-Paw and tapped Parker on the shoulder so he would look and then slowly moved out of sight, it was so funny watching Parker try to look around behind T-Paw to find BeBe.

That was all I had written for that post so instead of writing the rest of this blog in italics, I am just going to start here with the new stuff.

I am watching Parker jumping in his jumper, he is smiling and talking to Michael, I love watching them it is so cute!

OK new stuff! Parker had his first trip to the zoo a couple of weekends ago, I promise to post pictures soon. The whole weekend was a lot of fun, Aunt Jennifer and little miss Kyleigh came for a visit. We all went to the zoo on Saturday with GiGi and Sean, although Parker didn't know what was going on I think he enjoyed the view from his new umbrella stroller (I love this thing, it is so much lighter than that travel system). We did a little shopping after the zoo and then headed back home to fix hamburgers and see all of our friends.

Last weekend we went shopping for Michael's birthday gift, a new recliner! I hope it comes in time for his birthday, it is super comfy!

I think that is pretty much it for now, I'll have another post soon!

Bored at work 4-1-10

Posted on 8:45 AM by Unknown
I love my job...I really do, I am so appreciative of my boss and how understanding she has been over the last three months. We have been through so much since Christmas and I am pretty sure that if I were employed somewhere else, I would have been fired a long time ago. They told me today that if I don't work more than 36 hours a week that my insurance will be dropped. I really hope that Parker stays well, now that it is warming up a bit. I also have Internet now so it won't be an issue if I can work from home.
As grateful as I am to have such a flexible boss, I would so much rather be at home with Parker, Being here, especially with nothing to do, is so hard because all I think about are the things I could be doing at home or the time I could be spending with my little man. I know for a fact I am not the only new mom that goes through this and I can honestly say that after being home for three months on maternity leave I was looking forward to coming back to work! I guess I am feeling this way again because of the time I have spent at the doctors office and at home. Whenever your pediatrician tells you that your child is picking up cold viruses, RSV and whatever else from daycare which are causing his ear infections, it makes you consider the fact that daycare might not be the best option for your baby. Now I have brought this up to Michael a million times and each time he says "As long as you find a job working from home and can pay all of your bills, that's fine with me" Well! Good luck finding a work from home job that doesn't resemble Avon or Mary Kay...I'm no sales lady. There are pros and cons to daycare of course and whenever I find myself looking for that work from home job I also think about the fact that Parker has friends at daycare, I know he is only six months old but he does! He also needs to be exposed to those germs...to a certain extent of course. So I turn off my computer and think, I like my job and I like the daycare Parker goes to...maybe this will all clear up when the weather is warmer. We'll see...I think four ear infection, RSV and three different antibiotics, including a three part antibiotic shot are just a little too much for my six month old baby!
Since we're on the subject, I was home with Mr. P yesterday because he had fever. Lately he has had a low grade fever at some point during the day, everyday but yesterday morning it was 100.5 and he couldn't go to daycare. I gave him Motrin and three hours later it had gone up to 101.7 so I'm not sure if it was his gums or something else. I watched him all day and never saw him pull at his ears so hopefully it isn't another ear infection. The good thing is, he was fever free this morning!! He is at daycare today and I haven't gotten any phone calls so that is a good thing.
Delana and I took Parker to get his picture made with the Easter bunny yesterday! I was so worried that he would cry and be afraid but he wasn't! Next year may be another story ha-ha.

As most of you know, we began moving back into our house last week. On Wednesday the twenty fourth, I took off of work to pack up the apartment and Michael took the afternoon off to help me move everything to the house. After many trips up and down the three flights of stairs that I definitely will not miss, we managed to get everything into Michael's truck and my car and were on our way home. The manager at Shadow Creek apartments is so awesome, we are so grateful to her for finding room for us there. It took far less time unpacking the cars than it did packing them but it was pretty overwhelming walking in the house for the first time since the mover had been there. We were under the impression that they would try to put all of the furniture in the room it went into along with the boxes but that was not the case. They did put the furniture together and got most of it into the right rooms but the rest was just dropped in the living room. Since then, while I have been home I have managed to get it looking somewhat normal! I got our bedroom and Parker's bedroom done first, then I got the kitchen done. The bathroom is next on my agenda followed by the living/dining rooms which I am sure will mostly be Christmas decorations. While I was getting Parker's room all unpacked I decided I might as well go through and pack away all of the clothes he can no longer wear...it was so sad!!! I looked at the clothes that he was wearing around Christmas and the tornado and realized just how much he has grown since then. There are so many things that were packed in storage that he never got to wear also, and that just made me sad. I just had to tell myself that all of these clothes will be packed away temporarily because Parker will have a baby brother eventually...like years from now :-). I can't say that I am looking forward to cleaning up the bathroom...it is pretty gross in there, when we got home I cleaned it just enough to live in so I need to get in there and Clorox the entire room and get it all unpacked. When all is said and done, I will be happy and proud to show the house to everyone.

It was so hard to see the blessings that would come out of this situation while I was sitting on my neighbors couch, holding Parker and crying my eyes out. A million things were running through my mind from the moment it happened. So I was sitting at the neighbor's house, trying to process what was happening and at the same time, listening to the teenagers freaking out about the cops coming because I am sure they were doing drugs or something when all of this happened, with exception of the one boy who helped me and Parker get from our house to the other, the others weren't trying to help anyone, not worried about whether anyone was hurt...just worried about getting caught doing whatever it was that they were doing. I remember being so mad at them because I knew the sirens they were hearing weren't from cop cars but most likely from fire trucks or ambulances. So I was sitting there thinking the usual, why did this happen, what are we going to do and Belinda came in to get us...she saw me crying and gave me a hug and told me the one thing that I didn't think of until then, my family was alright. No one was hurt and the things that were damaged or lost could be replaced. Over the next couple of weeks she wouldn't be the only one to point this out to me. My family was alright. So now sitting here I see that we were blessed in that way, we are blessed to have such amazing friends and family and we were blessed in the fact that we are now living in a safer and more updated home than we had before.

On a happier note! The weather these last couple of days has been great! I can practically smell the sun screen! I can't wait for flips flops, shorts...maybe...and swimming!! Parker is going to love the pool, as much as he loves the bath, I know he'll be a water baby.

Michael's Birthday is coming up, he'll be twenty eight years old, and he thinks he is getting old! For the last couple of years he has been asking for some kind of hunt for his birthday and this year I thought I would look in to it. My Aunt Donna and Uncle Forrest have a friend that has a lease where you can hunt exotics and told Michael about it last year so I went ahead and made plans to go. I think it is going to be pretty cool, he will get to shoot a Ram and a couple of hogs with his bow! For anyone interested in this sort of hunt the website is keithjohnsoutdoors.com

Until next time, I hope everyone has a wonderful Good Friday and a very happy Easter.
