Happy Fall Y'all

I am somewhat satisfied with my blog at the moment. I like most of it but I am sure I'll be changing the header again after Callie takes some oh so adorable fall pictures of my boy!

Today is McFatty Monday (I know it's Tuesday...) and I am happy to report that I am feeling great today! No I didn't weigh. I don't want to, I was feeling good about myself and I knew if I got on the scale I'd be depressed. Actually I might not have been but I didn't want to chance it, call me a scaredy cat. Anyway, I am hoping to join a Zuba Fitness class because I miss dancing so much. It is sure to kick my butt BUT they say I'll lose a dress/pant size in a week. I want to go twice a week. I'll let you know how it goes, when I actually start going.

In other news, I got all of my laundry done, the grocery shopping done and the house somewhat clean over the weekend. I did not get my flower beds weeded and I was slightly in shock at the price of the sad looking Mums at Walmart...I will be heading over to the farmer's market when I have money and hopefully purchasing some Mums, Morning Glory and other fall flowers. I also hope to work on a new wreath since mine is MIA due to the tornado and moving out of the house. Pictures will come soon!

This weekend i going to be fun, the three of us are going to the deer lease and are going to have family time! I will bring my camera fully charged so I can get some good shots of Parker being a boy.

Late

Please be aware that this post is random and not about any specific topic…

So sorry for my lack of posts this week! I owe you a Wordless Wednesday picture so here you go!

We haven’t been up to much this week, just the usual. I am so looking forward to my 3 day weekend…apparently Parker and I are the only ones that are off ha-ha who knew Columbus Day wasn’t a holiday for most businesses. That’s ok though because I will be calling up GiGi to see what she is up to. Yay for working for the government!

Tomorrow is a cleaning day here at work and I think we’re going to be decorating for Halloween! I am so excited! There are already a few people with little decorations around but not much. I was on maternity leave last year during October and November so I didn’t get to see any of festivities.

Our October has quickly filled up and I am not going to be able to do all of the things I wanted to do, as usual. We have been to Houston twice this month, this coming weekend was supposed to be my weekend with NOTHING to do and it still is sort of but we have a wedding to go to tomorrow, and a birthday party Saturday night.

Next weekend I was supposed to take my field course for hunter’s safety but I think I am going to wait to that until next year. I am hoping that the hot water heater and washer will be fixed at the deer lease by then so we can all go down there and spend the weekend.

The following weekend is Michael’s 10 year high school reunion and let me tell you…I thought it was one night where we go to some little banquet but I WAS WRONG. I’m not complaining…Michael is. The entire weekend (not Sunday) is devoted to activities. Friday is the homecoming game, Saturday afternoon is a family picnic so your old classmates can meet your kids and Saturday night is the banquet. I have no idea what all we’re going to do but I am mildly worried.

After that it will be Halloween weekend and we will get to see my Granny Shayne (GG Shayne) on the 30th and I think we’re going to a Halloween party at BeBe and T-Paw’s house that night. Sunday we might go to a trunk or treat early so we aren’t out to late…then it will be November!

Some of the things I wanted to do were Boo on the Boardwalk down in Kemah, The Scarecrow Festival in Chapel Hill and Canton which was last weekend ::boo::. I’m still hopeful for November though, I’ve already become a hunting widow and it’s only bow season.

Delana and I have discussed our shopping excursions and possible weekend trips while the boys are off hunting. Of course we’ll have our decorating weekend in which the boys get all of the Christmas decorations down and on the back porch and we spend an entire weekend decorating! Maybe Parker and I can spend the weekend at GiGi’s house this year and we can play Christmas music while we decorate. It’s always so much easier when the boys are gone!

I won’t decorate my house until after Thanksgiving and I know I’ll be itching to do it early like I always am but we’re going to have to get new lights for the house, a new tree and also replace some ornaments so I’ll be waiting. I can’t wait to spend Christmas at our house this year. Christmas morning isn’t the same in a hotel room, even though we were together and we were with family that day…we were so looking forward to Christmas morning at home and watching Parker play with wrapping paper and bows while I snapped a thousand pictures. Please Lord, no tornadoes this Christmas mkay!

Tuesday...yeah

So this morning I got myself and Parker ready for our days, got the diaper bag packed and everything in the car so we could go over to Tommy and Belinda's for dinner. I took Parker to daycare and after a short detour back home for Parker's meds and then back to daycare I went to work. I typed out an email to my MIL and bestie about how it was Tuesday and we were one day closer to the weekend...here's the thing. I'd had it in my head all day that we were going over to the FIL's house for dinner and even brought the school picture of Parker with me so I could give it to them tonight and we don't go on Tuesdays.

My ah-ha moment came whenever I called Michael to get him to go get diapers and to prepare to be ready to go when I got home and he said "Why are we going to Dad's?" I was like "For dinner" (in a duh voice) and then it hit me...it is not Wednesday. I am a dork.

At least the bag is all packed and I can just throw everything into the car in the morning!

Monday Already

I know I haven't posted since last Wednesday and while I really meant to and have had a few ideas, I just never got on and wrote them. I also haven't written a McFatty post in a couple of weeks but that is mostly because I've been feeling super huge and am to afraid to get on the scale. I am so worried that I'll be disappointed with the number that I'll just give up all together. I have my good days and my bad days and maybe today was just a bad day.

I especially feel bad whenever I go into a store to buy new clothes. I went into Ann Taylor Loft this weekend and immediately felt like I was wasting my time. I didn't even really look because I was so stuck on how bad I thought everything would look on me. It's getting cold out and while I am so excited for the change, I need some new sweaters and long sleeved shirts, I just have no idea what to get to make myself feel comfortable.

I can't say that I've been eating healthy because I haven't. I have been to Houston two weekends in a row and when I go down there I tend to eat junk. We go out to eat and get fast food so I know I'm not doing any good there. We're staying home this weekend and I am getting back on track this week. I'm also looking forward to getting some exercise, Callie and I are planning to start walking twice a week now that it is cooler out! I hope this helps me feel better, gives me more energy and boost my self esteem. I don't think I am going to be truly happy until I can see a difference.
