Parker was sick all last weekend, he ran fever, had a cough and was very congested. I took him to see the doctor Monday morning and his ears were still infected from the last time we were there. The doctor said that they must not have completley healed and the remaining fluid caused the ears to become infected again.
So now that he was on antibiotics again, only 4 days after getting off of the last one, he was getting better. Monday and Tuesday he ran fever but not as often as over the weekend. Wednesday he was his old self again and was able to return to his friends at daycare. Guess who also got to go back to work...This momma! I was sad to not be able to stay home with my little trooper but It was nice to be around people my age ha-ha.
So he's healing slowly and he is still on for his surgery on Tuesday. I can't say that I'm looking forward to the actual surgery but I am looking forward to the outcome, hopefully no more ear infections.
Other than my kiddo being sick and my world revolving around him, I've been feeling good! I have more energy and I don't mind looking at the girl in the mirror, I'm finally going in the right direction.
Today a co-worker came up and asked me what I've been doing and that I looked great. I told her Weight Watchers and that I'd lost 13 pounds! She said that I was doing really good and to keep it up! Hearing that I look good from someone who isn't a family member was huge for me. I finally feel like maybe I'm noticeably thinner. She made my day :o)
This weekend Michael's going fishing so Parker and I may go get a little pool or maybe even run through the sprinkler out in the front yard, it's supposed to be beautiful.
